Dimly in the mist
around the rainbow parts of
a second rainbow.

old railroad siding
small plumes of grass grow
from the rotting ties
late night radio
a McDonald’s wrapper blows
down the street
small cat in the weeds
by the abandoned factory
autumn in the air
cool dew
a can of rolling tobacco
forgotten in the field
wind storm
the Christmas lights
tangled with the flag
