a term
for the rice grains
that miss the pot
yes but there
are different kinds
of blue people
the vulture
spreads its wings
to stop the car
sunflowers
their heads tilt
down in the dusk
the twist tie
giraffe doesn’t look
like a giraffe

my red chair
has returned
to my dreams
ghosts tug
at your belt loops
in the white afternoon
you take
your green thoughts
into the pillow with you
withered grasses
stirred up by the wind
turn gold in the air
