early snowfall

talk of a conspiracy

to steal the election

a little steam rises from the empty tea cup

during our argument a hairy seed floats through the car

the breakfast special missing a few letters not quite spring

I’m sorry I just needed to look at something yellow

covered in frost a shopping cart on its side under the streetlight

Fall 2005

endless factory:

catwalks obscured in the perpetual gloaming

spring air the texture of vegetable fuzz

lights on hills:

overlapping grease spots

skyline of punch cards

smoke from beans on a windswept table

jet landing on a mirage

evening sun/a quarter painted red sinking in a sea of coins

FOR

Forget it,

man. It’s

over.

WHO KNOWS

Reading requests

for work’s

like working?

WHO

Underneath

there’s

more.

dead fish dreamed

a cotton sack, bandits

one of them hunchback

bathroom at night

a butterfly, worms

grass around the stand
